What is the CLF Enrichment Program?

CLF’s Enrichment Program serves our Chesapeake Science Point and Chesapeake Math and IT Academy schools, grades K-12, by offering structured time in a safe and productive environment before and after school hours, giving families more flexibility with scheduling and transportation. The program provides an opportunity for academic support and social growth through supervised study sessions, homework assistance, organized recreation, games and peer interactions.

Activities

CLF Enrichment Programs provide your child with a safe and productive environment to study and grow!
Activities may vary by school.

Independent Study

Allows students to explore subjects of personal interest or dive deeper into topics covered in their curriculum at their own pace. It provides a quiet time and space where students can focus on self-directed learning, complete homework, or research.

Reading

A dedicated time for students to engage in reading, enhancing their literacy skills. This could involve silent reading, guided reading sessions, or group storytelling to foster a love for literature and improve comprehension abilities.

Gym & Recreation Time

Promotes physical health and social skills through active play and structured physical education. Activities might include team sports, physical fitness exercises, and cooperative games, helping students develop coordination and teamwork skills.

Technology

Blend educational and recreational computing by teaching essential digital skills and incorporating games that enhance strategic thinking and problem-solving.

Board Games

Can help improve cognitive abilities like problem-solving and decision-making while also offering a fun and engaging way to learn.

Playground

Outdoor unstructured play helps children unwind and develop physically, creatively, and socially, as they interact with peers in a relaxed setting.

and more!

This includes arts and crafts, music, dance, science experiments, and more, each designed to develop various skills and interests for every child’s enjoyment and learning.

Registration

The registration for the enrichment program will remain open for all current and new parents/guardians (until all spots are filled) to accommodate as many families as possible.

Please note spots are limited for Zero, Stars and Scholars Periods. As these spots fill on a first come, first- serve basis, once the available spots at any given school reach capacity, registration for that school will automatically close and a waitlist will begin.

In order to provide a safe environment for our students and staff, the CLF Enrichment Program (CMIT and CSP schools) will follow all PGCPS and AACPS COVID-19 guidelines. If you have any questions or concerns please email us at enrichment@clfmd.org.

You will be redirected to cec.clfportal.org to register for CLF Enrichment Programs. Spaces are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. CLF accepts only online payments. A $50 registration fee applies to first-time students.
